To My Patrons and Friends,
I would like to ask you for your loving support in nominating me for a 2018 James Beard Award. For well over twenty years I have dedicated myself to strive for excellence and service in the culinary and hospitality industry.
I am humbled by the opportunities that have availed themselves to me and for the education; I have gotten through devotion to this field of work. Without my restaurants it is doubtful that I would be in a position to employ over 200 people in Sedona and in turn helping their families and my community in ways too numerous to count. I have been able to participate in philanthropy for the less privileged veterans, the humane society and for my community in ways I would not have dreamed possible without my restaurants.
As a self-taught chef, I have put my passion, heart, and soul in the creation of delicious, healthy food. Working in my kitchens daily has also served to keep myself challenged to serve cuisine of the highest quality, the finest of locally sourced produce as well as creating delightful menus for the three million guests that have come through our doors for more than two decades.
Starting in 1995 when there was no chef-driven restaurant scene in our small town and designing, refining and operating four unique and beautiful establishments in Sedona has been a labor of love and growth. Proudly, as a woman chef, I have pioneered and contributed to making our spectacular resort town a food destination for the over four million tourists who visit us each year. I value the personal interactions and the love I feel from so many of our local friends and those who visit us from all over the world.
